Dr. Mathias Creon
Dr. iur. Mathias Creon, born 1959 in Hamburg. After graduating from school in both Germany and the United States, he studied law at the university of Hamburg. Dr. Creon’s career as a lawyer practicing commercial law since 1990 is marked by a degree of doctor of laws (logistics law) and the nomination as one of the first specialist solicitors for commercial and corporate law in Hamburg.
As a legal designer and consultant, Dr. Creon advises medium-sized enterprises and groups from the foundation to day-to-day business to conceptual duties. Dr. Creon’s thorough knowledge in aviation industry, shipping, car rental services and media production exceeds the legal-only expertise.
Dr. Creon is member of multiple supervisory boards and advisory committees and board member of several non-profit organisations. Since 1990, he is a founding member of the Schwerin Rotary Club and honorary member of the Connétablie de Guyenne from 1152 (a winemakers’ guild in the Bordeaux region). Dr. John-Robert Skrzepski
Born 1975 in Greifswald, Dr. iur. John-Robert Skrzepski graduated from law school in Greifswald after having spent semesters abroad in Graz/Austria and Sheffield/England. A former research assistant at the chair of private and labour law in Greifswald, he earned a doctorate with a dissertation on commercial external financing of lawsuits. Dr. Skrzepski has been acting for renowned corporate law firms and is a specialist solicitor for labour law.
Working as a barrister and legal consultant, Dr. Skrzepski is assisting both medium-sized enterprises and individuals. He has particular expertise in individual and collective labour law as well as in copyright and media law.
Dr. Skrzepski is author of several publications on labour law. Foreign language: English.

Jan Dreser
Jan Dreser, born 1978 in Hamburg, graduated from school in both Germany and the United States and studied law at the universities of Passau and Münster. During his studies Mr. Dreser already specialised in handling lawsuits with an international dimension. After having completed a subject-specific foreign language training in English law at the University of Passau, he attended the university of Münster to acquire specialised knowledge in information law, telecommunication law and media law. Mr. Dreser joined CREON after his admission as a lawyer.
Practising as barrister and consultant, Mr. Dreser advises small businesses and private clients on commercial and corporate law, the focus of the CREON law firm. Furthermore, Mr. Dreser is entrusted with mandates coming not only from the field of construction and property law but also IT and Internet law.
Mr. Dreser is supporting the Hamburg voluntary fire brigade and is a member of the executive committee of a non-profit organisation. He is member of the Hamburgischer Anwaltverein e.V. (the Hamburg Lawyers’ Association) and the FORUM Junge Anwaltschaft im Deutscher Anwaltverein (DAV) e.V. (the Young Lawyers’ forum of German Lawyers’ Association).

Thorbjørn Philippsen
Thorbjørn Philippsen is admitted to the bar of Sønderborg/Denmark and cultivates a long-time close partnership with CREON. Born in 1960 of German and Danish parents, Mr. Philippsen completed a bank traineeship before graduating from law school in Aarhus/Denmark. Prior to his practise as a lawyer, he held an executive position at a Danish bank and was responsible for Danish foreign activities in Germany and Luxemburg.
Mr. Philippsen is an experienced barrister practising Danish law and predominantly advises medium-sized enterprises. He has expert knowledge in all fields of commercial law with a particular emphasis on financial law. Although he is not practising in Germany, Mr. Philippsen supports CREON in servicing Danish businesses in Germany. Languages: Danish, German and English.
